I notice some of the cars are really modified, no windshield, or rocker panels, & huge tires, etc. But very few have a rear or front spoiler?
Why?

Rules say you can't run wings and spoilers. Must be "factory" bodywork, ie., GT flares, valances.

ZOTZ Racing is Ron Zitza from Orlando, they have a street car shop and prep quite a few 914-6s for Vintage.

thanks for all the flowers everyone!!

this was my 1st trip to sebring. saw derek bell and (i believe) elliot forbes r., don't know if they were driving, i never got my hands on a race schedule or an entrants list. here is a link to HSR's site and the race results and lap times.

did about 5 or 6 laps around the track during lunch break, MAN!!! when they say the track is rough ..... they ain't kidding!!! you must really get beat up in the stiff cars!!!

lots of 914s. this hsr event seemed to be more vintage rather than historic, like some of the hsr races i've attended in the past. i wonder if the historic cars are beeing raced in another series or they aren't being raced at all.

i'll post some pics from the paddock, some interesting parts on the 914s.

the paddock, a loooooong walk, and i was only 1/3 of the way down the line!!

only saw 1 street 914. this appears to be a factory -6, key on the left, but there was no vin tag on the A pillar. it was looking a little rough. this is the same car ury914 and i saw at a brumos swapmeet 2 yrs ago. looked like it was there for some work, we noticed it has no side markers, don't know if it is a euro model. it had an access hole in the firewall. iirc there was a puddle of water in the floor from the rain the night before. didn't talk to the owner, saw him doing track touring laps, it sounded really good!!
