It does look like a late 40s Hudson, whoever designed it liked the Hudson a lot... MattR got ahead of me and has proof. |

IIRC, on the Muntz Jet the doors slid forward into the fenders. Is this correct, or am I crazy?

An LA phenomonon, so he may not have heard of him. Later made Muntz car audio stuff. Real interesting guy. Without him, we wouldn't have those late night local channel crazies selling cars, and he invented the 4 track car stereo, which developed into the 8 track we all love (!) ........................ Ok, Maybe I am old, I remember the Muntz Stereo Pack. We had one in our car. My dad was so proud of it. The old 4 track player. It was wide, looked very similar to the 8 track but when you put the tape in, you had to move a lever to engage the drive into the tape. Dad was quite the audiophile back then. It had speakers that were surface mount on the rear deck and some on the front kick panels too. I remember listening to music by Nancy Sinatra, Sonny and Cher, The Association, and all the greats back then.
