should the car wear one for function, looks, or both?

i was hoping the generality of my question would bring some life back into this place. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/w00t.gif)

but i really would like some opinions/pics of cars with bras. i am 50/50 on the idea.

Actually, you will note a difference in the paint colors after a period of time, as the uncovered part is exposed to UV.

Secondly, unless it is real tight, the flapping will scratch it too.

Is that serious enough for you? I had one and tossed it..........

but we do get a few more UV rays being a mile high.

There was a thread a long time ago, in a far away galaxy, called the 914world.com, about a stickon film, transparent that could protect against rock chips and deer dung. I believe it was touted for race cars.......

I use one for trips or highway use (colgan-carbon fiber). Do take it off. My other car had it on in the rain and such. You will get a line(outline from the portion on the hood) int he paint after a while of it sitting in the rain and sun (months). Mine went a way though. Keep the hood waxed and that will help too.

If you live in a high construciton area and use the highway, use it. If the car stays in the garage and sees little rain, use it. Also depends on the maker. A poorly constructed one will flap in the wind and dont get the ones that use velcro
