I am tired of the not hot starts and don't want to do the relay thing. And yes, my connections are cleaned up. Eddy

That is the ticket.

I have one on both Betty's 1.8, and my 2.4 six. Turns the car over even on the hottest of days.

Love it and would not go back to a stock starter.

Just bought one, Used the ebay $15 off coupon, Cheers for that.

Decided to plum for it after doing a compression test this weekend with plugs out, so theoritically no compression to fight against & the old starter was wayyyyy slow. Battery is good as is voltage. Will post results of new starter in a week or so.

Another option is to get a 73-on 911 starter. They are 1.5 hp where the stock one is .8 hp. You may or may not have a clearence problem with the aftermarket one.

Don't bid on it if it goes over $115. That's what you can buy them for from a guy on Samba.com. Serrero I think is his name. Sells them all the time.

The Nippondenso is rated at 2 HP. He claims it is a direct fit. Eddy

I searched this forum and found a coupon that expired on 9/28/05. Where do I find a coupon that is valid today. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) Eddy

These four coupons should still be valid. I used C3, pay with paypal then at end of buying process there's a redeem coupon section.

Nov 15th CLUA5Q45S $5 off over $20
$5 off of $50, code: C2-Holiday2005
$15 off of $100, code: C3-Holiday2005
10% off ($25 max savings), code: C1-Holiday2005
