It's a fairly inexpensive way to build a stroker.

How come more people don't do this? I've heard about this kind of stuff a few times but have never met someone actually doing it.

I have a spare 1.7 in my gararge. How cheap could I build a 150hp stroker?

One word on the rabbit rod combo.

Many have tried and died, nothing new.
Gene Berg did a rabbit rod Type1 back in the late 70's and quit because of failures. This is on a physically shorter crank and he did nothing half-assed. It just too small of a journal for a crank with 2 rod journals between mains. Chevy's can get away with it because they run 2 rods on the same journal so the mains are close together.

The "Chevy" (Buick) 2" journal is about the smallest I'd run personally.
