alright, steel roof, possibly with a electric sunroof in the rear.

the rear should have just one wide seat and some "entertainment" stuff towards the front (bar, TV etc.)

OR

two wide seats, facing each other, could seat up to 6 people in the back.

keep the glas between driver and back ...

there are some really good ideas (IMG:http://www.netspace-hosting.com/images/smilies/yes.gif)

and I agree ... all these inforcements, more steel and whatever else causes significant more weight ... so the only engine that would fit perfectly is the 908 (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

nice project

I also agree on the 908, a 3.6 would be good too.. But the hp might twist the chassis more readily

a 2.2 would possibly be better because of the tq...

What could be done to stiffen the chassis? I was thinking a hidden roll cage.. and some sheet metal joining.... boxed long with extra reinforcment..

anyone else got an idea?

I say it could be DONE in a month... and a month of planning..

Who's gona do it?

steel roof, tinted windows, darker vinyl ...

btw. i think one large targa roof will be utterly unpracticle. no place to put it, so why have one in the first place ???

I think it would be key to design it with two removable targas that appear as one, with a nice smooth line...but you can still remove them to get the open top feel.

If I can find a tub here that is rotted in the hell hol beyond repair, I have another...

I may just do this for fun...

No question a 1.7 motor...or maybe two of them...

The rear interior would have to be totally custom,,,really plush, tv, dvd, all the toys.

The frame, could be long box channel that is cut to size and made to fit so when you are done, you cant tell the re-inforcment is there.

Cables are easy.
Shifter rod would need to be a good cable setup.

Im game, just need another tub.
