let's do this... for south bound folks...take the Port of Tacoma Rd exit (this is the second exit in the fife area). turn left after getting off I-5 and go back over the freeway. there will be a wherehouse type building directly ahead of you. you will see my car, i'll be there at 8. if you have a thomas guide, turn to page 803. near the tacoma dome you will see where Hwy 7 runs south off of I-5. a couple of 360* corners, no stop lights, and a zoomy run back down to I-5 southbound.  dino, please bring that orphaned mps with you.

Drove that way yesterday, and it looked like that exit you're talking about Kev is actually the 20th street exit. If you take the Port of Tac. Rd. exit, it will dump you into Fife. So look for the 20th st. exit and then head over the freeway. You will see my Oly. blue car there too. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool.gif)

jim (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) , for people coming south bound on I-5, the EXIT is port of tacoma rd. 20th is the street on the south side of I-5, parallel to I-5 ( and runs all the way to milton way from port of tacoma rd). if people follow my directions exactly, they will be where they need to be at 8. throwing in changes will just muddy the waters. so...(no offense) forget what jim posted and just follow my directions. go work on your car!! for people coming north bound on I-5 they would take the port of tacoma/20th st exit and bear to the right after exiting I-5, which is prob the way you drove. go work on your car (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Interesting weather forecast for the weekend:

Friday and Saturday: highs in the mid 30s, breezy,
chance of snow showers, lows in the mid 20s.

But they're probably wrong, as usual.. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

I am really disapointed I can't make breakfast Saturday. I've got a booth at the old car swap meet in Puyallup that day. Been driving my car a lot lately, had the top off 4 days this week. The beauty of a 914 is that you can adjust the side windows so that you get almost no cabin turbulence and the heat from the footwells just washes right over you. Outside temp doesn't matter. Now if only I could rig a periscope so I can see over traffic.

Hope we can have another breakfast or something real soon. Looking forward to meeting some teener folk. Have fun.

i'm showing up. roll out from fife at 8:15. be there, or be square. you might be delayed if the wind is still howling eddy. i'm surprised you're not on storm duty troy, the write up in the classics section tells you all you need to know on the new top install. -65 with the windchill at white pass (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) . a balmy -50 at crystal. i bet the wind is hitting 70 at the top of the ranier express.
