Man

I wish you guys would have had a real breakfast instead of a brunch. I'd have been tempted to come on down. Alas, to late to get back for the Superbowl. Next time maybe or we gotta get you Ptown pukes up here to run at Bremerton and then burgs and beer at my place. I bet JP would like another shot at Eric (JP, I wanna see you kick his ass).

Well the Portland area breakfast (brunch) didn't have too many attendees but there was a lot of 914 brain-power in attendance, myself excluded. I've enclosed a photo of several of the attendees helping to move DRGCHAMPMAN'S 3.2 liter six (soon to be mated with a beautiful Bahia red car) from one stand to another. Left to right, Bruce Allert provides supervisory overview, JS Stein is technical advisor, the good Doctor points to something important, and Craig Lin and Jim Chambers look on. Aaron Gillihan from Vancouver was also in attendance.

Hey! thanks to Pam & Gary for their hospitality (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap56.gif) Pams Chili was great along with the dips, chips, veggies & beer. Gary allowed us to help lift his 3.2 - 6 onto a different cradle. JP said it'd be better that way. 4 raised it, kicked the cradle out of place after having it perfectly aligned so we had to re- pick it (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) We were going to put it on the engine stand but Gary didn't have any nuts (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool_shades.gif) (no... steel ones for the stand!) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Yes, the jokes ran rampant with his saying he din't have any nuts...

Britian, Sorry you couldn't make it. No problems with the child care I hope. You were safe from call in at work with the only apparent Litho problem being at Via 1. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

I was swapped with work all weekend. I didn't get anything done on Sunday and had approximately 35 calls. It really sucked cause I really want to get together with all you guys. Maybe we can do a true breakfast in a couple of weeks.

I have never seen or heard of a gear haid without a nuts & bolt stash, so when Gary said "I have no nuts"......I kinda mumbled something about being sorry bout that. When it dawned on me what he was saying, I gave him my best slack
jawed stare.....I didn't drool, tho.

I suggest we all donate to the "Garys Nuts" collection.
A pound or 2 of your stash would get him on the the road
gear head nirvana.

So ya had to go and say it out loud, did ya.

Got's no metric stuff to speak of. Had Detroit and two wheeled toys in my last gearhead life. Engine is up on the stand, found the bolts in a "I can't beleive it's not butter tub" from the PO! Sounds like I might have some metric NUTZ and BOLTS pretty soon though......

I do have a little issue though, the union fiting on the 914/6 oil scavenge fitting is 16mm ID. The union on the 3.2 case is 19mm ID. So......looking for a 16mm union, or replace the rest of the lines.

Thanks to KD Foust and other 3.2 guys, I have a wiring diagram. Very COOL!!!!!
