I'm loooking for a pic of the longs opened up and the heat tubes fully exposed. I remember seeing a pic like this somewhere. I think it was a pic of a tub ready for acid dipping. I'm trying to figure out exactly how much room I have in the longs with the heat tubes still intact. I'd like to squeeze my oil lines in there and wanted to see if I could fit both or just one per long??
Anybody got a pic??? |

Look at the pics in the link in the signature. Yiu can get a pretty good idea from that. I have some other pics from my cut up donor which show the stock configuration also.

Damn.........Patrick! That's hardcore!!! I'll never bitch about fixing my rust spots again. In comparison, I really did get a "rust free" 914 (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)
I think the best shot for what I'm looking for is near the bottom of the page, showing the passenger side with the clamp that holds the heat tube. It looks like it may be possible to snake two -12 lines through the corners around the clamp. Thanks! |

Hardcore it is. I'll send you some pics of the stock longs from the cut car. PM me your e-mail address. There is a lot of room in there.
Also, the heat tube is just that usual foil duct with a big wad of insulation around it. Pat Attached image(s) |
