You get what you pay for! I bought one of those kits several years back, The repro front trunk seal, windshield seal and back window seal are POOR. The front seal shrunk up and the other two seals are lacking the gripper strip to hold them in place.

If you need real rubber at a good price, call Hennessey Porsche in Georgia(800-471-0911). Kenn Young is the parts manager and he will be happy to help you. They will provide rock bottom prices and order anything you want from the factory. You can use my name Mark Heard and tell them you are with the 914 Club.

As to the quality of the kit....it's ok. Most of the stuff fits with a little trimming. If I were you, get the kit priced out elswhere. Regardless of where you buy it, I would pony up and buy the factory seal for the Targa. I think it is worth the money to go OEM on that one.

There see....no ranting. Just friendly, useable advice from one enthusiast to another. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I found the AA seals that I bought to be adequate (the ones around the side windows) except the big expensive one that became a three piece rather quickly. I ponied up the $$ for a factory one and it is awsome to say the least. Night and day. I got them off of a member on this forum that works at a dealership. I think it was parts man? I think he worked at a dealership in Nassau, FL er somthing. Kinda sucky that I can't remember at the moment. If he would have pissed me off I bet I would remember, but he was nothing but great wiht the customer service and pricing.
