If I feel my panties getting in to a bind, I remember that this site has brought me so much knowledge and friendships that I get real grateful. I've got a "Top Ten" list of guys who have given of themselves selflessly to me personally. They're real decent guys and I'd have no problems with doing a week up at WCC and havin' some fun. I disagree with much of what is said, especially in the sandbox. I take it with a grain of salt. All this name calling stuff is just childish. Whoops, did I just call anyone a name? My last post.
I never got a PM. I never got a complaint. A poster called me and told me that there was a thread about me. I came home on Valentine's Day and found a thread with my name IN CAPS in the subject line. I PM'd Bad Ass, did not get a response. I posted a thread about Bad Ass, it was deleted. Whoever Bad Ass is, they had better stay anonymous, as I will have an up close and personal discussion with that person some day. This was handled badly. I have not been banned, I have chosen to leave. I am not taking my ball and running away. There is notheing left here that interests me. Have Fun. |

Although I am not completely up to date on this entire subject I guess that some sensitive people are upset with bouncing female parts and so forth. Heres a couple things I have been thinking. 1. Many countries laugh at our over sensitivity to nudity and fidelity. The morality police have gotten out of control. Many Europeans (chime in anytime Jeroen) that have been married for a significant period of time have another man or woman in their life. They understand that intimate relations change over time. We are so amazingly sensitive to peoples feelings, that everything we do is sanitized. You can't make a compliment to a woman today without feeling concern for how it might be taken, and frankly... I am sick of it! 2. This is not something new. In the 60's my father served as a chapter president for a local Porsche Club. The monthly newsletter was aptly named "FERRY TALES". After about the 10th month of publication a new member suggested that the name poorly represented the club. My dad laughed at the fact that the man was so insecure with himself, that the club he belonged to could'nt even have a "play on words" as a title for their newsletter. He served one term and after being a member for several years he chose not to renew. He said many years later, This was the indicator that the club would cater to it's image as opposed to just plain having fun. 3. Also consider this: we are all born without clothing. Clothing was developed to cover us to shield us from the elements, nothing else. 4. Much real art uses the male and female body as the highest form of artistic expression. I really like Mrs. K's photos/avatars. They are very tasteful, and in many cases have a nice artistic flair to them. People would much rather watch the perfect form of a naked breast or penis than the whisps of snow being blown from the north ridge of the Matterhorn. Personally I don't care. If its funny or interesting to watch or creates conversation it may be art, but who's to say. The question here appears to be choice. I like to see womans breasts, naked or covered, in motion or still (I like Mikes avatars). But I would not care to see a mans penis naked or covered, in motion or still. So I understand how some would ask certain avatars to be cleaned up. I wonder this? If you are for open avatars, would it be okay to see an active or still photo of your own same sexual derivative. Be it Hetero or Homo or Metro? If you say it would not be okay, than you stand for cleaned up avatars I would assume. My concern is: are we eliminating any sense of flair and color, and just dipping the site in alcohol to sanitize it. Pretty soon if we keep eliminating individuality and the color, there won't be anything to write about. Just like our schools, as we eliminate elective credits to focus on math/english/Science, pretty soon we won't have anything to write, cypher or ponder about. Erik Madsen Post Script: I think I wrote this as tastefully as possible, maybe hitting some points, maybe missing some, so if you don't like it, (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/finger.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) |

I have to agree Andy and most others, the boobs probably belong in boobclub.com I was reading post few days ago and my four year old came in and saw them and said " how did you do that, do it again" I really thought nothing of it, but then that evening my wife says " so you were looking at naked women on the computer today". This site has rules, we have to abide by them.

I grew up on a farm and my Dad once in awhile ran out to the mailbox naked. Seeing a 60 + Lithuanian man streak is not fun. The neighbor within eye shot didn't like it either.
In most cases, when you think of yourself you do what ever you feel like. When you think of others first, you may exercise restraint. Thanks to the admins for making this site available. Like it or not, without it, most of us would be out in the garage scratching our heads. |

As a newbie, I'm laughing at you, not with you! You guyz funny!
Seriously, one really easy way to significantly cut down on the problem and make a site a lot better is to strictly enforce an "Off Topic" rule. There should be a forum that is for technical stuff ONLY (is that what the Garage is supposed to be?). The OT stuff should be strictly segregated in its own cesspool for those that enjoy that sort of stuff! It works a lot better that way. |

Good points all in the past couple posts. Just the facts maam. And I like the idea of OT only , good call.
As far as a 60+ year old Lithuaniun (sp?) I would laugh my ass off, and love every minute of it. Thinking it was the most hilarious thing I had ever seen. I plan to do those very things if I make it to that age. This is the color of life as I see it. Erik |

and takes away *ALL* the fun ... just look at the pelican forums ... we do *NOT* want to become a "technical" forum ... we got the sandbox for the OT stuff and even that was a bad idea, IMHO. the more you split into seperate forums, the more you divert attention, the more you lose participation. it might "work" but it would be awfully boring! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool_shades.gif) Andy PS: this place thrives on the different personalities and without the occassional OT stuff, all that would be lost. PPS: all i'm asking is for a certain few to show some respect for the rest. |

Next time this censorship & separate OT forum stuff comes up again I'm going to search the archive and bump the 50 threads that have already killed these subjects. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dead horse.gif)
We have so many new members, that I can't really blame them for thinking it's a new idea. But still... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) Maybe we need to put threads like this in the FAQ. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif) |

Im tired of these pissing contests. It really takes the fun out of coming here. If somebody doesn't play by the rules, toss 'em. You shouldn't have to ask a grown man more than once to show respect in a situation like this.

I have refrained from jumping in on this tired old subject but the post from "*" made me feel that I had to respond.
I feel bad for "*" that he feels he has to leave...again we have been here before. I like Z, he's a true character... rare in this world. That said though, it was made pretty clear last time... ya wanna play take it to the box. We have some fun times in there. I for one will miss "*" but it is HIS FAULT for not playing by the rules (I know, I know what is PG-13 blah blah blah). I'll miss ya "*". Ya know I have always supported Z'ster in the past but I gotta go the other way this time. |

Here what I wrote in my Blog on several of these issues. I put in my blog and copied here so when I get mis-quoted in the future I can easily find it.
"This is my blog and this is what I think about that.... Mike Z: Why in the hell can't he follow the rules? Those that say that if you don't like his avatars or signature you can turn them off. Well I don't think I should be forced to change my settings for all the other members because one member can't seem to do what is right. Rule #3 says "...Have some respect for your fellow club members." Part of respect is being able understand that not all members what to see tits and ass. Respect the fact that I have an family and I don't want your disrespect for women brought into my house or office. I also can't beleive that Mike has a wife and three young daughters and continues to post this kind of crap. I could see it being done by a 16 year old kid, but not an adult. Mike response his "no one gets my humor". You're right, I don't get that kind of humor. If it wasn't for Mike and his humor the Admin team wouldn't have much to do. Everyone here does an pretty good job of self-policeing lately. This is not a free speak issue. This board is privately owned and run and we are all guests here. Play by the rules or go start your own board. OT Threads: Just what is considered OT? Being that this is a car board I would think just about anything not related to cars is OT. I use the Sandbox for all very OT topics. When it is car related I post in the Garage. When I post in the Garage and it is not 914 related or car related I lable it OT. If I find a site or post a picture of a car or tools or something I still post in the Garage. Because the Garage is about cars, tools, P-cars, etc. But if I need help with my computer or taxes or my want to list my favorte dance song I do it in the SandBox. Nothing in the Sandbox should be labled OT. If I find a joke that may offend someone I post it in the Sandbox in the "Do Not Look " thread. BTW: I have no problem looking or seeing naked women. But I think I should be the one that decides when I should view them. Thread Labling: Several months ago I started a thread and complained that people need to better explain the subject or topic of thier thread. Naming a thread "Look what I did" and than it being about how they built a rock garden is not right. More to follow..." Your blog is a good tool, more people should use them. Paul |
