QUOTE(URY914 @ Sep 8 2003, 04:24 PM) . Why aren't 914's winning every class in PCA when they run against 911s with the same engine? But this is what bench racing is all about. Paul I can bench race with the best of em'....I gots an opinion bout most everything (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) IMO, the answer to this question is money/ego. The 911 IS Porsche. This is prolly important to guys with bucks. There are *some* real fast 914s racecars out there, but most guys with big bucks would rather have the latest cup car than an old shitbox 914. BTW, I have heard of an exception to this coming soon. Jeff Gamroth (a Brad Roberts wanna be....or maybe I have that backwards (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)) is building a 3.8L (ex GT motor) 914 for a "patron"....I hear it's gonna be a killer/no-expense-spared race car. The owner will prolly park it next to his Enzo & F-50. This is all the name dropping I'll be doing this week. |
