Well,
In this scenario. In simple tems........ You toss the Dizzy... Gone, Sianara, See Ya... Bye.... If I want to have a fully programable computer controlled ignition system. We can use a notched wheel that is either driven off the cam or Crank. A sensor is set next to this notched wheel. The sensor counts teeth of the wheel. This tells the ECU where the crank is in relationship to TDC. Now the ECU knows when to collapse the field of the coil or coils and release the energy to create a spark in the cylinder. Twystd1 |

Can't you just run a distributor and not have electronic spark control? I'm guessing that's not ideal, huh?

Okay, I gotta ask the question then...
What brand Throttle Body? Who's linkage? What's the ECU you're offering? 30 lb injectors? Unless you're planning on runnign a gonzo motor, 30 lb injectors on an otherwise stockish motor is probably considerable overkill, and might make it pretty hard to get a good idle. But I'd like to know more details. -Josh2 |
