I guess that the base of my right side 911 flag style power mirror was altered to fit a 944 or somthing else. This is the part that I need. I tried Dave at GPR and he said that he had 14 lefts, but no rights unless he orders it from the factory and offered that I might be better off getting it from someone who works for Porsche or sells P parts. I do have a want add in the classifieds, I just remember buying some usually expensive things from one of our members that worked at a dealership for a nice price. For the life of me I can not remember his name, but knew that he was no the only guy like that here.

So, can ya fellas hook me up with the base?

Brian,
Not on me. I will have to remove the mirror to get it so it may take a bit.

K,
I'll look him up. I didn't post on the bird board yet. I was hoping to find the guy I dealt with or a close substitiue.

It was like: Parts pricer, pro pricer, parts man, etc. All members here, btu not the guy i am thinking of IIRC.
He worked at the Nassua FL Porsche.

What year were the flag mirrors on the 911. I found a 84 right side electric one for $34. You would have to call for the details on it though. I believe its a complete assembly. Send me a PM if you want details.

Dr. Evil: the fellow is Eric Sanders and his name here is partsguy or something like that. Eric was the parts manager at a local Porsche dealer, but he has changed jobs to a different dealership (same company). Get the part number and send it to me. I will have Eric check into it and get you the "914 club" discount.
