The AX system needs some tweaking

yeah, the classing rules say that if you do a /6 conversion, to go back and change the base class from 914-4 to 914-6 ...

that bumped my basepoints from 275 to 400 which was enough to bump me over the AX2 limit ...

AX2 1151 - 1250 points

my car currently: 1,320 points

gotta lose 70 points somewhere before friday (when i'm going to put on the numbers/decals) ...

Andy,

Just call it AX2 and be done with it. With Randal and I in there right now, what's the diff?

Besides, we can always call our own class at any time. In fact, the steering committee suggested that a bunch of us with the GT level cars call a class for ourselves and duke it out....especially the 3.6 liter cars...

When I classed, I was all for it, but no one with the 3.6 cars or GT type cars wanted to run against me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Only Randal, and he's still down....

well, what do you know? i just went back and looked through my classification again and i found a few "errors" in there ...

i'm now officially down to 1,210 points for AX which puts me in AX2 !!!

See what going through the points again will do for you.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

There aren't many of us on schlicks....So it will be nice to have some company.

When will you start on the heart transplant?

You wanna sell that clutch combo back to me for the 915? I just found a 3.6 that I may just buy....and I already bought a 2.7 for a full blown race motor that should show up to my house by Friday....

The Beast will have options.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Shhhh...Doris knows about the 2.7 motor....but I haven't dropped the 3.6 hint yet...

I gotta start working on her.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/KMA.gif)

The 2.7 is a full motor and a steal....just got a wonderful deal. I could turn it around and sell it for double what I paid for it....even at core prices.

The 3.6 is from a 1992 964 with 52K miles....but the price is really good and that motor would still be killer in a 914.

Then I could really see which car is the most fun...The Beast or Fritz. I love 914's but I have to admit Fritz really is a cool cat!

Going to go ahead with your car huh? I don't know...Scott's got my tub over there right now....getting ready for powder coat....you could pick the colors you know..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Yeah...I figure either you or I will end up using that 915. If I don't use it you'll have dibs on it.

My numbers are painted on of course, but my classes will stay magnetics.
Room to grow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

That is exactly what I am doing with my class designations. That way if I modify the car then I don't have to remove sticky letters and numbers.
Plus I don't want to have a bunch of extraneous stuff on the outside of the car.
At AX I will have the AX designations and at TT I will have the appropriate designations. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

That is another problem with the new points system. Before If you car was BP for AX it was BP for TT. Not anymore (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I still have to cut that in half for use at each event. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif)
