The upright shroud in a T1 goes straight across the engine. Since the cylinders are slightly offset from one side to the other that means that the air flow doesn't go down exactly between the cylinders on each side. The DTM shrouds aren't straight across the engine, but are slightly offset so the airflow goes down directly between the cylinders on each side, or "Down the Middle" The result is more balanced cooling. The name has significance on T1 motors but not so much on the pancake-style T4 cooling.

Thats all about the DTM that was originally designed and manufactured by Oregon Performance's, Joe Locicero.. He passed away in July of 2002 and I bought the company from his family...

I'm leaving this morning on our cross country run.... Updates to come.

In 700 miles of datalogging today the biggest CHT difference we datalogged was 20 degrees......
