OK... another time killer, but could be fun.

How many cars have you had and how long have you been driving (you old farts can guess - howie - slits - cap'n).

Post a pic of the most embarassing ones or the coolest ones whichever.

Admins - you can move this to the "box" if you don't like it here but I think it is fine in the garage.

I'll start.

I have been driving for 21 years and have had 29 cars.

Here is the most embarassing ones (not actual pics blah blah blah)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif) Nice cars dude. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

No pictures, but I started life with a 1966 VW bug when I was 13. Grafted on the front of a 57 and rear oval window. Graduated to a 914 my Junior year in High School.

I did own a Fiero, twice. Once when they were new and one more time earlier this year. I owned both cars for less than a month.

Jeep Cherokee
Miata
Range Rover (Current)
BMW 318ic (Current)
914-6(current)

Pretty much stuck with Porsche's for 99.9% of my cars.

I'm at my lowest now bro! Just got rid of my 2000 GMC and now am a proud owner of this fleet. They both aren't worth the damn for picking up decent women but they are both great on gas out of my pocket! How you say DIVORCE in this land of the so called FREE?

I could not possibly remember all the car's i've owned since age 16 (15 years ago) but I know it's over 50.

Best was my White 3.2 Six conversion

Worst is a toss up between a Ford Festiva and a Geo Metro

They all eventually got dirty and I sold em.

I have been driving for 15 years now and have had about 10 vehicles of the motorized persuasion.

First was a 68 VW Karman Ghia
Worst was a light blue 85 mustang convertible
Most fun but worst looking is a 76 chevy blazer 4X4 with a top notch krylon camo paint job if I do say so myself
2 fiero GT's
Favorite car that I no longer have a Subaru SVX

And of course the Poorsche

My worst car is a no-brainer...1981 4-door Chevy Chevette. It was black and gold. We just called it the Poop.

I sold it to a friend who later traded the car for a helmet. I think it had just under 200k miles on it when it finally gave out.

Only 10 cars - 5 of which I current own. Should have kept the 1966 Impala SS and fixed it up. I didn't appreciate it at the time. The 70 Squareback was the dog of the bunch with an automatic transmission. The '77 BMW 320i was a work horse. I should have drove it for a few more years but I got new car fever and bought the Jetta. The Jetta has been a great car. 12 years and counting and still uber reliable. Since then I've only bought older Porsches. :-)

66 Impala SS
70 Squareback
69 Bug
72 Squareback
77 320i
94 VW Jetta*
94 Toyota Truck*
74 914*

I've been terrorizing the roadways for 36 years, one car for each year and this one was the scarriest,,,,,

for me. Couldn't get out of it's own way. It had one redeeming value, it had a rear engine. Attached Image

Damn, you guy need to start your own junkyards. I got my first car in 1977 this is all I've had...

1970 Bug
1973 914 (Currently the world lightest 914)
1985 Jeep Cheeroke
1967 Type II bus
1989 Chevy p/u
1999 Dodge p/u

I've had two parts cars but they don't count. They didn't run or even roll.

The "working on car No. 24" refers to my 24th car, which in this case is a '69 FIAT 124 Coupe.

The worst car is hard to put my finger on. The MGB was pretty bad, but the absolute worst was probably a '78 Mercedes 350SL that someone GAVE to me. A supertanker with way too much brake and way too little tire, and absolutely frightening handling.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif) let me think... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)
I wanted something to put my surfboard in - on a low budget.
----
1.) '57 Ford Station Wagon - I was 15 - $300 - didn't run -
I paid half - my dad paid half- we towed it home.
When we finally got it to run, it smoked so bad my mom made me shut it off.
It ran $hitty throwin' smoke for about a week - then the tranny blew.
Paid to have it put to rest.
2.) '59 Chevy Impala - Straight Six - Boring, but only broke down once in 2yrs.
3.) '56 Chevy Bel Air - Scored it from my boss from a guy who didn't pay my boss
for the new transmission we installed. Sweet new paint - tuck & roll int. - V-8 -
dropped front - & I sold it!!! WhyWHY??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
4.) '65 Ford Econoline Van - I wanted something to put my surfboard in - on a low budget. Yeah (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) BS - well... that's what I told my folks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grouphug.gif)
5.) '67 Chevy RS Camaro - added a Holly Carb & Manifold, headers, custom sidepipes. (Dooohh - BIG mistake) at a stop with the window down my eyes
would just burn. And I removed the a/c to save weight (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) A$$hole!!!
(really small back seat) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)
6.) '69 VW Van - I wanted something to put my surfboard in - on a low budget. Yeah (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) BS - well... that's what I told my folks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grouphug.gif)
After the second o/haul in 2yrs. I said G-bye.
7.) Yamaha RD-350 - best handling bike I've ever owned.
8.) '74 VW Bug - stone stock - kept my bike.
9.) '70 Dodge Dart Auto - OMG - brakes went out comin' down from Big Bear.
Put it in the dirt with the e-brake on. What a POS!
10.) '79 Dodge Van - 383 - I added a "RV" cam & lifters, Elderbrock carb & intake manifold & it cam ALIVE! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)
Totaled by a drunk driver - luckily it was parked in front of my condo & the time.
11.) '79 Datsun 280ZX - WOW!!! Handled soooo gud. But had injector problems.
Numerous times I'd smell gas & sure enough, another injector needed to be replaced. I finally realized why they put an exhaust fan in the engine compartment- Anyway, Super car!
12.) '84 Mitsubishi Turbo Starion - Fun car - 'til I found a street light that refused to get out of my way one rainy nite after 2 pitchers of beer.
13.) '73 VW Bug - 1776cc - dual kadron's - dropped & cal'd out - custom interior - trick tranny. Fast. No. Quick is what it was... $ for first car across the intersection?
14.) Chevy Blazer 4X4 - funnest truck & mudd'er I ever had - 'effib bastards
stole it from the HomeBase p/lot!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) I still miss it.
15.) '73 Porsche 914-2.0 - We looked at so many rust buckets over about a yrs time that my wife stopped goin' with me 2 look. & then - I found "the 1" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)
'cept it barely ran, brakes were toast (no offense intended...) minimal rust Huntington Beach car. Luv at first sight. A year of $$$ & time - & she became my d/driver for 5 yrs - 'til that dreadful day when she wanted jack stands.
16.) '93 Chevy Suburban - we had bought a boat - needed it - chipped it - k&n in - magnaflow c/verter/exhaust. Pullz gud.
17.) '88 Mazda RX-7 'Vert- I was missin' my 914 & needed a top down fix.
I had no idea I was going to like it as much as I do - fun reliable car
(& I got it 4 cheap$)
18.) I had a dream about the new Tesla (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)
Now I just need to win looto & I'll B (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) one.
