Heading to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jsharp.gif) on the 91 fwy, and suddenly I had no more excelleration, like I ran out of gas.
Luckily I was by the Tyler mall exit, so I costed off and parked in the mall. An oriental chick in sandals helped me push the 914 the rest of the way into the parking lot. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Still had power. Looked in the tank...there was gas. But wouldn't start. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

pinched fuel line? clogged fuel filter? vapor lock?

are the injectors spraying fuel? can you smell gas??

all you need is air.fuel.spark.

verify which ones you have, and lets work from there

Changed to points when the Crane Electronic Ignition failed at the last RRC (that was the final problmatic solution by the way).

All grounds check.

Changing battery terminal. Broken by bolt.

Your battery terminal broke? Ouch... That might cause probs.

If you're changing batteries, go with an optima red top, or grab one of those orbital brand gel-cell batteries at kragen. Best $80 I spent (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Oops, got your reply in just before mine...

Fuel pump working, getting spark... It should run then. That means your injectors aren't firing or your timing is WAAAAY off. But I think the former, not the latter.

Now's a good time to test your CHT. Got an Ω meter handy?

Points!

Check 'em before you wreck 'em.

Break out your business card and get ready to set 'em. If you still aint got this troubleshotted all out by 4:45 I'll head to Ron's and attempt to help (and not break anything more).

I suggest you walk down the street and buy two sets of Bosch points. Put one in your glove box, intall the other (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
