If you watch the in-car coverage of the ALMS at Sears they show the speeds of the GT2 class Porsche cars as they exit turn 2... 54 mph.
I exit at 57 mph now!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)

KT

you are faster than ALMS cars with pro drivers? ..... not thinking so...

factor in your "shorter than normal" tires... about 9% off with 205/50's

Exiting turn 2, yes!! Hard to believe, I know, but this calculation is not based on my unreliable speedo, but 5000 rpms in M ( 3rd ).

I have known (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) David for >16 years. He was my first AX instructor at the Zone school. The year I went to it, it was held at Crows Landing in the valley...
Old Navy auxillary airfield...
We used to hold AXs, AX schools, and Time Trials there...

Trekkor,

Tell David to call me about his engine. I can pick it up this weekend. I lost his contact info, but I know where he lives in SunnyVale.

You going to make the cage out of Fence Posts or EMT tubing from Home Depot??

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

(BTW - I only make this joke because I recently made a turbo downpipe with an O2 sensor bung and a bursch on the end out of a Home Depot Fencepost... W2W...
I'm gonna pass on that.
I'm having a good time where I'm at.
KT

The thing is...
After you try W2W you will never have as much fun at a drivers school again.
(seriously, it will never be the same)
It is truely that good... you don't know what your missing.
like I said, as big a leap as the track was compaired to the street.

you'd like it!

brant

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif)
It's like being baptized. Track days are never the same, you wonder why you didn't see it before. There's a bond with your fellow racers that doesn't exist doing DE or time trial. Someday you'll see.
