The side marker wart was a U.S.DOT only requirement.
The factory did not install them on 914s for other markets...
Can you spot the DOT car in this picture?

Damn, according to my girlfriend, friends, and the number of vehicles I have at my house, I'm white trash (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, anyone gonna figure out the wiring needed to make the side markers light/flash?

Yes back to the discussion at hand.

I'm wondering if you could move the markers. I'd like to move them down, infact down into the sides of the front valience. Do you think they would get destroyed to often with them that low?

I'd also like to just go with a longer rectangular marker, that maybe 1 inch high, and 2-3 long.

I'll work on it this weekend and give a report. looks fairly easy according to air cooled nut's diagram. I think it may just be a matter of switching a few wires.

P.O. of my sons car had them deleted from the fenders. Wiring is still there underneath. I think it looks much better. My soon to be yellow teener has the marke lights. But I have heard Yellow cars go faster. So if a knuclke head can't see my turn signal I will have passed him already anyway.
