Looks worth it to me. 2.0 eng, 2 ltr fuchs, interior is not too bad. This is an East coast dream car.

You clearly forgot the whale tail. Definitely worth it for that!

Definitely interested in checking this one out.

Richie - I'll go halves w/you on it if we can park it in Hazlet for a couple weeks while we strip it. I can store the parts in Buffalo - just no room for another chassis.

Camden County is up in my hood, e-mailed the guy to see whats up. Probably try to go check it out this weekend/maybe sooner. I've got a 914 flat tow bar and some Beetle wheels/tires, all I need is a vehicle with a hitch and I could have it in my garage. 914 chop part in Philly?

You guys would be wise to get it IMHO. You could sell the extras off. Nice find.

Side shift tranny? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Yeah, I don't know how a group buy would work out. I think everyone is going to want the same stuff off the car.

Everyone should sumbit a list of what they want, then the inspecting party can check to see if those parts are available and advise. Then everyone that has a shot at what they want can pitch in. I can use the tranny, engine bar and shifter stuff and will pitch in if noone else wants it.

Only a suggestion, though. You all have a point about parts wants/needs.

I think the core engine is desireable.

Count me in as part of the purchasing group.

for me, center console. maybe guages, door panels. we should do it because it makes no sense to. none of us needs another 914 lying around, so lets do it and sort it out later. i.m bored.
