nope...the silver bullet has brand new tires too...they'd go with the car if you wanted to deal.

Will have to see how the winter plays out. I don't have the space for it (even in Buffalo) until spring rolls around. I'll keep the idea on the back burner and watch you slowly part it out... I'd like to see you make some extra $ from the new parts you put on it. It would fund your hobby should you want to want to do anything to the silver sparkler...

Ray if your striping the green car I will gladly take the back pad. $50 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Of course I am gonna strip it down as I mentioned.

Ordered some gauges. I think I am gonna go ahead and get the paspeedo triple gauge. That thing is so sweet. I also ordered fiberglass hoods and new door panels. MIne are nice but got speaker holes cut in em.

I'm thinking I am gonna order some GTS seats as well. The recaros are nice but look completely out of place. Someone is gonna have to show me how to take those things out. Not sure which is wider though the nurburgring or the lemans.

Yeah but I could take a dump instead of the carbon fiber hood and get to the same weight. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif)

The getty hoods are crazy expensive and you still have to paint them. If you want show quality carbon I think it was like $3000 for the pair. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

That's more then hoods, triple gauge and gts seats combined.

Nurburgring are wider than the Lemans. The Lemans would more than likely work for you. ROCS - the shop that sourced out my heads is a dealer and is working on a 911 that is getting a Lemans seat. I'll let them know you are in the market and you can test the fit when they get the seat in.

That would be cool and maybe they could help me put them in I seriously can't figure out how the hell to get the seats out. It should be easy I know. Problem is I just can't get to those front bolts no way no how.

Wish I had a project on my car to do this weekend. I got my new speedo and the hal pickup. I don't have all the little metal bits to finish it off nicely though. The guys who I ordered the 6'x2' sheet of aluminum are really taking there sweet time. They just sent it out today.

Think I will just spend this weekend with the ladies (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rocking nana.gif)

Next weekend I was gonna head up to Racer Chris' shop and then Sunday head out to the Autox for some fiming if that sounds like anyones cup of tea.

I'll be towing my car up to Buffalo this weekend. Turns out Billy (welder) has persuaded me to throw in the towel on that car's chassis. It might be worth saving but would require a lot of welding/fabricating know how and a lot of time.

I had been thinking of swapping all the parts off my orange car onto Ray's green machine and this episode @ the welder's has pushed me over the edge... I bought Rays green machine. I'll be taking it to Buffalo in the next month or so (hooray for tow bars & a new hitch on the Beetle!). The entire car will be stripped down to bare chassis, painted, and built up using the parts from the orange car.

I expect it to be completed sometime in the spring (prob by May).

Am I crazy? Foolish?

The frame is not damaged, just the right front quarter panel & the rear deck lid & rear trunk area. There's already a good quarter panel which I believe Kieth donated over the summer. So I'm on the lookout for the rear trunk stuff...

I'll have a welding shop up in Buffalo put them on - it should be pretty straight forward work for them.
