here are my Revolution RFX's.. these are very light and strong wheels... 15x7" gives a nice contact patch under the stock fenders.

Joel! Those Forgeline wheels are awesome. I saw them in person in June at the RR AX, then googled it that night. Seems like they don't make the 4x130 standard, but do offer "custom" wheels. If you ever get tired of them, I'll buy or trade + $$$ my 15" rims. I just mailed out my some extra AR lug bolts - if you're reading this they are on the way USPS (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

This is an American Racing "Le Mans" wheel being updated to cone seat to accept standard lugs. 911 center caps fit right in there.

What did you use to cut the ball seat? I've got a set of those, and 15 of the goofy lug bolts. I'd rather convert to stock bolts.

Cone seat not ball seat. I had the same question and didn't look too hard because the solution to go to cone seat was common: the cone seat used a 1" wide, cobolt steel, 60 deg, single flute countersink bit in a drill press with a nice depth stop...having the tire off would have been better but I was needing a low budget solution and having the tires on/off was not cheap.

Also, I am selling my 12 old lug bolts in sets of 4....one set gone. Let me know if you'd like some. Good luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Troy, Troy, Troy... What is this obsession with VW offset wheels you have? LoL.

Here's a quick photochop. Sorry about the quality but I didn't have the time to pay more attention to detail. Have too much homework. But it still gives you an idea.

Handmade one off wheels (bought them off some guy in Florida)

Pedrini centers mated to Enkei aluminium 8" rims. The guy who built them had some skills.

Super light and they look awesome.

These were like minilites with different offsets F&R. Like a dumbass I sold them to Automobile Atlanta in 1997. That reminds me, we haven't had a AA bashing lately.

Never knew there were so many different types.

I still haven't seen a pic of the type I used to have (on a parts car 20 years
ago so no pics). They were aluminum, with dozens of very thin spokes, and
had 'Western' name hub caps that stuck out a couple inches, you could have
used them for coffee mugs.

Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

When I worked at the dealership in 73/74, those were known as McAffee wheels, and were also available as a brand known as P/S wheels. Made in So Cal (like all the good stuff!).

Rockin',
I don't think those are them. I'm remembering more spokes, thinner ones,
and the curve was opposite to your pic. Wish I had a pic. This was in the
80's.

Bump
I nominate this topic to be "nailed" because it has turned out to be a pretty good wheel guide.
