Hello Bruce,
I am looking for the a drivers side (Left) guide for my 75'. The part numbers are a little different I have 914.542.174.10, I need 914.542.173.10. Do you have any pictures and will your guides fit? Also any chance of you taking paypal?

Ooops forgot the pics (excuse poor quality)

Dan,

as far as I know these fit the 73 and up window ends. It is described as "Guide Piece" by PET. This is the part that goes on the door at the lock end of the door. Is black in colour, has two "legs" that are used to attach it to the body. The top is sort of cresent shaped with a rounded notch out of the middle.

The part number you gave #914 542 173 10 is shown as "Terminal Piece". As PET doesn't show the differences between the early 70-72 and the 73+ ones, I'm wondering if this is how PET determines the difference? Good question to post in the CW section. Do you have a picture of the part you have?

So to answer your questions, as far as I know these fit the 73 and up cars. If there is a difference for the 75 cars, I'm not sure. As to paypal, no.

I just pulled the window end caps off the 70 and they have the part number on them from the early post. I've changed the part numbers to reflect the proper replacement part number.

Now you want me to use my brain? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Window end caps ( L & R) 73+ yrs
Targa top holders rear
Targa top holders fronts (special)
Door handle seals
Air box seal 73+ yrs
Bumper dog bones
Brake Adjuster Caps
Front Trunk Seal (non OEM style...keeps the water out better)
Engine lid bumpers

I've put the front windshield seal on hold for now seeing that Porsche is making them again (and at a reasonable price)

Stuff under development:
Window end caps for 70-72 yrs (finished next week)
Side Marker lenses (clear & tinted) 1/4 done
Side Marker lens gaskets (prototype)
(note to self: send current test model to Mr. Shaffer)
Front Turn Signal lens (clear & tinted) 1/2 done
Bumper Pad Front (End of month)
Bumper Pad Rear (End of month) (waiting on material from supplier)
Stacked Elbow (waiting on sample to start-this week)
Rear Turn signal lenses (euro, US spec & clear or what is wanted)
(waiting for bolt samples) two months away

and I know I'm missing something (or two) that is on my work bench....

Also non P car parts:

Power Steering Insulator: fits 54-56 Plymouth & Dodge, 52-56 Desoto, 51-56 Chrysler & 51-56 Imperial

Hi Bruce,

I'm in need of the left (driver's side) window cap for my '76. According to my records, its the 914.542.173.10 (not the 174, which I'm pretty sure is the passenger side part, as I have 2 OEM in original packaging with the 174 number.

Are these in your stock? I ordered from AA 3 weeks ago, and they said they'd be in in the following week, but now they're saying another 1-2 weeks.....

Let me know. I'll send you a check immediately for one. Thanks!

Still working on the bumper tops. Now that winter has set in (-35 here) I'll be spending more time on them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Good question. I sent a payment almost 3 weeks ago. No endcaps yet and no response to my emails.

Nathan,

yes it does matter. There was a change over date in 72 when they went to the newer style doors. The earlier doors had a end cap that looks like a block, the later style is smaller cap and has two "legs" that come down off the top of the cap. Do you know which doors you have?

Les,

I sent you a PM about delivery. I would have been able to go to the Post office yesterday except the highways were shut down due to the storm. I would have been able to go today but i don't drive when it's -47 outside. The earliest they can go out now is next week. If that's not good enough let me know and I'll refund your money.

I never received a response, but no matter. I still want the end caps when you have a chance.

Keep warm up there, thanks.

I'll try and take a look, I'm not sure since mine have no end caps at all. I'll take a look again at my build-date. That will probably tell the tale. I'll try and send a picture of what it looks like currently too, as you will probably be able to tell from that.

Thanks,

I paid with paypal for the end caps many weeks ago and haven’t received the end caps and have emailed Bruce a few times with no response. Does any one know if this guy is still in town?
