I am looking for the a drivers side (Left) guide for my 75'. The part numbers are a little different I have 914.542.174.10, I need 914.542.173.10. Do you have any pictures and will your guides fit? Also any chance of you taking paypal?

as far as I know these fit the 73 and up window ends. It is described as "Guide Piece" by PET. This is the part that goes on the door at the lock end of the door. Is black in colour, has two "legs" that are used to attach it to the body. The top is sort of cresent shaped with a rounded notch out of the middle.

The part number you gave #914 542 173 10 is shown as "Terminal Piece". As PET doesn't show the differences between the early 70-72 and the 73+ ones, I'm wondering if this is how PET determines the difference? Good question to post in the CW section. Do you have a picture of the part you have?

So to answer your questions, as far as I know these fit the 73 and up cars. If there is a difference for the 75 cars, I'm not sure. As to paypal, no.

I just pulled the window end caps off the 70 and they have the part number on them from the early post. I've changed the part numbers to reflect the proper replacement part number.

I'm in need of the left (driver's side) window cap for my '76. According to my records, its the 914.542.173.10 (not the 174, which I'm pretty sure is the passenger side part, as I have 2 OEM in original packaging with the 174 number.

Are these in your stock? I ordered from AA 3 weeks ago, and they said they'd be in in the following week, but now they're saying another 1-2 weeks.....

yes it does matter. There was a change over date in 72 when they went to the newer style doors. The earlier doors had a end cap that looks like a block, the later style is smaller cap and has two "legs" that come down off the top of the cap. Do you know which doors you have?

I sent you a PM about delivery. I would have been able to go to the Post office yesterday except the highways were shut down due to the storm. I would have been able to go today but i don't drive when it's -47 outside. The earliest they can go out now is next week. If that's not good enough let me know and I'll refund your money.

bruce, you should send a few sets to your "go to guy" stateside when you pick up the brittle and avoid the snow hassle.

I'll try and take a look, I'm not sure since mine have no end caps at all. I'll take a look again at my build-date. That will probably tell the tale. I'll try and send a picture of what it looks like currently too, as you will probably be able to tell from that.

I paid with paypal for the end caps many weeks ago and haven’t received the end caps and have emailed Bruce a few times with no response. Does any one know if this guy is still in town?

Same here, except it's been a few months. I understand Bruce has some health problems.

I tried to email him a few weeks ago about producing end caps for my vertical targa seals. No response, so I assume he's not around right now.

I hate to inform paypal that I have paid for an item and it wasnt shipped if Bruce is sick or something.
Anyway, I will wait a few days and see if he emails me or I find out more about whats up.

Just to let everyone know that Bruce is not responding to my emails and I have not recieved the end caps that I paid for with paypal over 2 months ago.

I will now have to inform Paypal.
What a drag it is that a fellow teener is such a let down.

I've run into the same problem with some targa top holders that were paid for 2 months ago

I did inform Paypal today about not receiving the end caps, but its been over 45 days so they may not do much.
Bruce please send the end caps today or refund the money to my paypal.
I have sent emails to Bruce but havent heard back from him and I understand that he logs on to this web page often.

I was wanting to order some rubber from this guy, but now having second thoughts.

Still waiting.

FWIW - I ordered targa top brackets from him and it took a month of Sundays to get them. But they did eventually come and look great! The cold makes everything move S-L-O-W up there I guess.
