(IMG:style_emoticons/default/MDB2.gif) Fired up Sabbath for a quick lap around the neighborhood. It is an absolutely gorgeous night out. Cool, slight breeze, plenty o stars - Haven't seen ole Johnny in awhile,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/hide.gif)

OK! Coast is clear. In I go, fires up after some heavy pumping of the pedal. Fires up, check lights.

DAMN!

Whole left side is out. Should I chance it?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Decide it is better not to - out comes the multi-meter. After a quick look over, a fuse is missing... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Funny, it was there last month.............

Scour home and skunk works for fuse.

Nothing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Then I start wonder aloud : "How would VanWilder handle this??" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Ok, rob fuse for headlight retract and go!

HA! IT WORKED!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Start pulling out of yard, see a car coming. Decide better not chance it - tags are out and no ins. (but is just a lap around a gated community) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Car passes. It is local PD!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

So I sit and "wait him out" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Been 5 minutes, and no repeat drive-by............I making a run for it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Quickly I zing in the opposite direction. Quickly make turn towards interstate bypass. Slap shiftin @ 6800! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Make another turn, then another, then I see it! The Texas turn-around is coming up. 180-degrees of newly asphalted apex - I shift to second, RPM's hovering @6100, speed about 58 but cannot really tell due to malfunctioning speedo with crazed bouncing needle!!!!

I swing to the outside and then dive deep to the inside, no braking, just pure throttle control.....get all four HOWLING and a nice perfectly aligned drift to the right - - not much, just a foot or two. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) DAMN! I forgot how freaking NIMBLE this thing is, how perfectly BALANCED!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smiley_notworthy.gif)

Coming up on turn two of the turnaround - got a stop sign to contend with now -

Doing about 50 at this point and still a slight drift - quickly come off the gas while burying my foot into the brake, fully stopped from 50 in about 100 feet flat!! Freaking GRIP!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smiley_notworthy.gif)

Make the west bound turn onto the frontage - -keeping my cool now, got two lights to go and then.............. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Ok, HERE i AM!! I thought to myself. The one stretch of road I am fully blessed to be living next ------

9 miles of ruler straight, no other cars around, top speed high test facility ---

The light turns yellow for the cross lanes - -

I hold the brake with my right foot while blipping the gas with the remaining side of exposed foot ...letting out the clutch until a firm tightness is met...

Light is red now,,, countdown time...................

2 seconds and it is GREEN FOR ME!!!!

ONE! --- RPM's raised to a steady 65oo ---------slight release of brake pressure, allow the car to "inch it in"

Two! --- Letting clutch out , watch RPM's fall to 6100 and continue --- Bury my foot in the gas while slipping her out-----Foot comes off the brake fully---

GREEN! --- Snatch first @ 7100 RPM's - Tires spin about 4 revs and HOOK! Less than a second and shifting up mad!!

Second, don't miss third! I say to myslef as I watch the needle swing madly past the red, see 7200 and BAM!

A perfect third shift - I am pushing the gas pedal so freaking madly I just know I am goin to rip it out of the floor!!!

BAM! 7200 again and fourth arrives - I begin to notice a definite decline in forward ummph.....I really got to do my turbo set-up I onder loudly in my head -- (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

BOOM! Fifth gear - smoking at 105 right now and climbing, but falling off even more rapidly than before---that is ok I think - I still have 8 and 1/2 miles to go -- (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

I AM Giving BlackSabbath pure HELL!!! - I am asking, no demanding more! more! MORE!!!!

Keepn it buried until she coughs and wheezes ---

See 142 and she is done! That is it! No more ass hole--get your fucking foot outta my ass already Sabbath says to me...................

And then it really happens - - - the completely UNIMAGINABALE!!! SHIT!!! Son of a BITCH!!!

I wake up from my dream ---

I do not even remember falling alseep -------- (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Or was it?????
