Has any one ever put a vw circle badge on the hood? I think it would look cool and not be any more out of place than the porsche crest.

Like it! So long as you're going to screw it up, why not put the "914-VW Porsche" emblem on the hood? It's no more out of place than a crest.

Car says "914" on the back. How much more recognition do you need?

Dino's were never marked as Ferraris. Would you screw up the (inflated) value of a Dino by badging it as Ferrari? Accept it, we're the bastard children of Porsche, or VW.

Its your car, if you want to paint a huge crest that covers your hood go for it!

Chris is that what you did? And that's why no one has seen pics in months? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Not really, I'm just doing everything to my car and it takes its time. I am starting to see the end now though. I will post pics once its on the road again. But I am putting a crest on mine, bought a 997 crest and love it. But then again, my car will be far away from a classic 914.. You just wait (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I've had them both ways. I kind of like the badge on there, but I'm a CSOB so I don't want to pay for one. I also don't like the holes, but it's the cost of a badge that really keeps me from installing one.

Pat, go wax your gas tank. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)
