Question, what was the deal with the cones in the first part of the run? simply speed braking - the same as at the Hunaudières at Le Mans (off course there are no cones but chicanes) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wavey.gif) Gustl |

look here - the Hunaudières is the straight line at the upper end
up to the 70ies it was really a straight line, all the length the Porsche 917s reached 400 km/h (250 mph) there because this was too dangerous, they built the 2 chicanes (IMG:http://www.selectmotorracing.com/circuit05_lemans.jpg) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wavey.gif) Gustl |

Quite frankly, that scares the SHIT right out of me.
I can't stand event done on public roadways. I have visions of small children running out in the street. I wouldn't/couldn't do those events. At least on a closed circuit purpose built racetrack, I feel somewhat comfortable that if something runs out in front of the car, it will have 4 legs and I wouldn't feel too badly about ending it's life early. I like the sound of that car. The exhaust note, the sounds of the gears in the gearbox, etc. I wish mine sounded more like it, but for some reason 3.2's just don't sound like that, regardless of what muffler I put on them. Isn't that a late model dash? (I would expect GT's to have early dashes (vent in middle) |
