Ha Ha Ha (IMG:style_emoticons/default/alfred.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) I guess I didn't use a torque wrench (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif)

Hey Clayton,
I got them off using a little taping, I must have been pretty fired up when I installed them.. I"m getting ready for another trip up to Washington State, I might be adding a frame to the car. My friend Gary and I will talk about the possibility.. ones things is for sure we will wet-sand and buff the paint. Maybe I'll paint it again, a different color?? I like the Cadillac Pearl white... Sorry about the posts flow, ya I am still getting letters and fines. I just hate being jacked around by the HOA (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) |

For your HOA:
Strip down you yer tightie-whities, lay down on a recliner in your front yard with a mini-fridge next to you full of yer favorite white-trash beer (PBR is a fave), turn on some death-metal <ahem> music loud enough for the next block to hear, and proceed to get drunk. Worst that can happen is the local constable asks you to turn down your music. Throw a kegger on the front lawn and make sure only people with motorcycles show up. Start telling rumors about the HOA Nazis that are giving you troubles. For example, you saw Mr. Helmut walk out of the adult store with a full bag of "goodies" (wink wink). If the wife allows, say screw it! and leave 914 skid marks to and from your driveway. Always do a burnout before entering the garage. Drive past their house at Oh-God-Early in the morning, in first gear but doing the legal speed limit (25mph in neighborhoods, right?). You may want to test your horn to make sure it's working properly, too. Or do a burnout in THEIR driveway, then when they come out to see what's going on, appologize and tell 'em you thought you were at your house. Shall I go on or have you complained enough that your wife wants to move to a location where you, and not a committe, decides what to do with your house that you bought with your hard earned money? I feel for ya (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Good luck (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

I'm sorry... Fines?
I've heard that HOAs can be a pain in the ass. Don't you already pay a yearly fee to get jacked around? Who enforces the fines? I guess it's tort law in effect with contracts. Was looking at a place SE of OKC here. 20 Acres, 6300 sq ft house / barracks thing, $95k. Sorta reminds me a mini Koresh Compound.. Except I wouldn't have 12 year old mistresses. Certainly wouldn't have a HOA out there. If I ever move to a place with a HOA, there'd probably be a damn good reason, and my first action would be to see if I can get on the committee. Are the letters / fines for something objective in the agreement, or a more subjective thing? If the latter, I wonder if you have recourse calling a meeting and fighting it. (No clue if those things are democratic or what) Good luck with whatever route you pick. |

You would be shocked how UN-Democratic it is, its a non profit corporation and the board runs the show. They can fine you if they feel you are a nuisance!
No joke, I have been here for 10 years, paid 140k and its now valued a 500K so its been a good investment but it sucks big time.... I plain to make my Fiat X19 into a banner and park it in front of all future open houses, really get the brokers pissed off letting new prospective buyers in on the board. That should get everyone in on the action. I am real quiet and don't do anything before 9 am or after 6 pm. No air tools etc, there just mad at me for not kissing there butsssss.................... I would love to do the poster thing, like "Did you know a Child Moleste* is living in Xyz unit.... God would that start a stormmm (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) |
