Last for now. I bought a set of lever arm type scales last year. They work ok but you have to be very carefull when you read them. Any mistake is multiplied by 4 so you can really mess up a reading if you are +1lb here and -1lb there. I do multiple runs and take an average each time I make an adjustment for repeatability.
More to come later. It's friday at 5:00pm. Time for Cocktails and Canapes' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) |

Went to an autocross yesterday and the results were promising. The modifications have allowed me to close the gap on my main competition, a rotary powered MG Midget. There were 4 of us in the same second most of the day. The Midget, Me, and a tube frame Cobra replica with 2 drivers. I think I ended up 3rd about 1.5 seconds from 1st in E Modified (which ended up being FTD as well) There were 7 drivers in the class.
Best of all is that the car just handled and stuck like never before. The tendency to oversteer was greatly reduced to the point of being a non issue. No evil tendancies at all. Now I just need to relearn how to drive the car again... Mike T |
