(i get tired of looking for the old thread)
Our host hotel is going to be THE LA QUINTA INN La Quinta Inn - 815 S. Main Street - Moab, Utah 84532 - 435.259.8700 Rooms are $95 +tax I have 35 rooms reserved, but I suggest you book soon, because we used all of them last year, and every other hotel in Moab seems to be booked this year. If there is a problem booking a room, please send me a pm, and I'll fix it for you. When you call in, tell them you are with the clubNARP or 914World group, and you will receive the discounted rate. We are trying to work out the event registration fee right now, and are waiting for price quotes from the restaurants. As you know, all of the money from last year went to all of your meals, and anything left over was donated to CHARITY. Last year's recipient of the charity funds ($1500) cried at the presentation. It was pretty moving. We anticipate the registration fee for the event will be no more than $70 this year. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Looking forward to another fantastic time in Moab this year with 914's from all over the country. Make sure you mark these dates on your calender now: September 21-23...................... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wavey.gif) Moab has some incredible mountain roads and scenery like no other in the country. Should be another fantastic time in MOAB this year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Looking forward to the rolling beer kegs on hotel luggage carts again. (IMG:http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o61/tincan914/moabfinger.jpg) 2007 Red Rocks Classic Event registration is $60/per person (children will be actual food cost only) The registration deadline is 9/1/07, due to reservations. we need people to pre-pay, but will refund anyone that needs to drop out before registration closes. (plus we are usually able to refund right up until a few days prior to the event) registration can be paid in the form of check or paypal, but no credit card paypals. (sorry cash paypal only so we save the 3% fee's) To register, please send me a direct email to: brant914@hotmail.com Include names/number of attendee's and any questions. upon receipt, I'll reply to you with my home address for checks, or info for paypal and get you into the list. Also if you have any questions you can use this thread or email me direct. The event schedule is similar to previous years: Friday: afternoon meet and greet with optional driving tour. Followed by BBQ at the hotel. Saturday: Morning car show and tour with lunch. Afternoon choice of tour or optional hike. Evening dinner and door prizes. Sunday: Breakfast and awards Lodging is seperate from registration. Our primary hotel is LaQuinta Inn 815 S. Main Street - Moab, Utah 84532 - 435.259.8700 Rooms are $95 +tax if you mention your with Club NARP, or 914 world and there is also wonderful camping and cabins available thanks to the sponsors and participants, we will be able to support a local charity in Moab again this year. I should be collecting royalties for every use of my photo. I could probably retire by now - or at least pay for the rear bearings that I'm putting in so my car can get to Moab in September! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Wow (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
Did you guys call the local number, or the 800 number? The local number is what we've been using. They have actually been very accomadating. I'll call my contact in the morning and let them know. Maybe they'll give us a bigger discount (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) but let me know that you made your reservation, so that she can reference it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

I did get a room. Had to call the 800#, they try tell they were full and then they said there was no club rate for us. But we got a room that's all that counts. I did call the local number the 1st time I got the girl telling me I would have to call back and the 2nd time I got the guy telling he was to busy.

I just hate businesses that treat custormers poorly. I just called La Quinta to reserve a room and was told they were to busy to help me.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) You have to look at it from their side also. If they were in the middle of a big rush and had lots of people checking in and out when they get a phone call, who do they service first. Hard to answer. Isn't it better to tell you they are busy and to call back or to put you on hold for a long time? I've the same type of problem at an auto parts store. I am in the middle of being helped, they are looking up parts for me and the phone rings. They stop to answer the phone and go on to answer that persons questions. Pisses me off. I asked a friend who works at a parts store why they did that. He told me that he knows how much of a sale I will be making from the questions I have already asked, he doesn't know how much of a sale the phone will bring. It might be a $1000.00. So they answer the phone. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) Andy My apologies to those that called last night and had troubles with registering. It turns out that the girl you probably spoke to is working her last shift tonight. The hotel manager is going to have a word with her about last night's phone calls. If you would like to call back during the day, please call the (435) number and ask for Kelly or Cindy. |
