Thanks to everyone that has contributed to the VIN database.
I now have over 300 body numbers to work with, but sure could use more.

Here's one I looked at today....not sure if I'm going to aquire it or not yet, but I took down the info:

472291621

939544

L96D

05/72

It's got a early back pad/seat, with a tail shifter, but has the dash vents

Check out 4712903048

I just added it because I realized I still have my 1976 registration 31 years later. I assume the car is dead. If not, a future 914world'er can dispute my info. I'd love to know it was still on the road!

Ever so slo-o-o-wly the info and colors are being filled in. If you're a newbie and haven't done so, add your cars' VIN and color to the list.

If you're 914 veteran and have never gotten around to adding your 914 to the list of members' cars, now's a good time as any. Please, or do we have to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif)

footnote, I've just started searching junk yards/salvage lots here in Cincinnati for "lost" 914s and and haven't found a single one as yet (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Bruce, you are missing one digit in that VIN and another in the body #:
472291621x

x939544
I'm very sure it is 1939544

I do greatly appreciate your assistance.

4722916921

It could be a 1 on the Karman tag.....the car was originaly silver and painted blue which is painted over the tag too.........

I'm going to look at it again in a bit and if it goes thru the auction at the right price, I'll buy it and know for sure.

Thanks Bruce, with VIN 4722916921 and date code 05/72 it pretty much has to be 1939544.

Come on 'teeners! Update, update, update!

On a personal note, I'm curious to the color and VIN of any survivors around my own #4702903114.

It's been two weeks since the last (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_bump.gif)

If you're new here or added another 914 to your collection or just have never added your 914 to the .world VIN roster, now's the time.

Those of us who care and track these things thank you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

Thanks to all who've added or updated.

Newbies or occasional lurkers, please add your cars' VIN and color if you've not done so. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/type.gif) The moderators, administrators, historians, archivists, and curious among us like to see the 914 info page filling up with serial numbers and color codes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Much thanks to all who have helped. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

I see some new names appearing on the Forum.....
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png)

Please take a few minutes and add your VIN and color code for your car so they can be added to our members' listing. Just click on the "914 Info" at the very top of the Forum page and add your car's #s. All of us thank you for your input. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)
