After the last autocross, I started getting strong gas fumes inside. The strongest smell came from next to the tank on the fill side with what looks like an overflow leak down the side of the tank. Is it the gasket underneath the numerous bolts that's getting old? How do you know when its shot? Who sells the gasket?
I tightened the bolts down last time I replaced the lines but I think one of the bolts is stripped. Could this be my problem? Any ideas? |

Had similar problem with my 70 914. I finally decided to make a new gasket for the gas cap. Everything is fine now.
