I thought I would post some pics of my small block chevy powered 914 that I just finished. I never realized how much fun a SBC 914 would be to drive! Pics of the engine? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) |

Welp, thought i would show off my first 914. It's a 1973 1.7. Got it for $900. Hope i didn't get ripped off! At $900, it's a beauty! How's the rust situation? How's it run/shift? FI or carbs? I'd put a nice orig front valence on, and refinish the alloys. White and original for a 73 looks great. |

Longitudes are good, floor has very little surface rust, hell hole is good. Only place i found that is of concern is the pass inner door jamb in front. hole about size of a quarter. Both front and rear trunks are good. Motor is bad. I've pulled the motor/tranny and started on rebuild. It's FI but i'm going to switch it over to webbers. PO said the computer was bad. Unfortunately i think i'm going to sell it. Too many projects and this is the most expensive one. Only real thing bad on this car is that it needs is interior. It has door panels, but needs carpet and seats. Wanna buy it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) |

I brought this home a couple months ago. It needs long repair. I'm picking up a donor car tomorrow morning. It's a '74 with a 1.8. At least it was. I have a 2.0 that is almost ready for it.....after the rust is gone.

This is my new project, bought off of ebay for $1000. Was a charity donation.NOt in bad shape, dents on right side, little rust in trunk and battery tray. Last registered in 1989, not sure why it was parked but the wire to the top of the throttle pedal might be a clue.

Here is my project for the next few years. I have too many ideas that I want to accomplish, but something will come of her. The GOOD thing is....I'm not married or in a relationship. So, I can spend as much time on it and not hear the nagging. But this is going to be a long road. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif)
The downside is that I live in an apartment so I do a lot of the work in the elements. I'm looking to purchase a house to wake the neighbors up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stirthepot.gif) Attached thumbnail(s) |

My '73 2.0 I bought from the original owners son. 68,000 original miles, rust free, full appearance group, Phoenix Red. The car is currently apart and being cleaned, replacing the few items that were damaged or too worn to repair, while the engine gets a once over.
