Not very early - #9760. Have posted it to the VIN registry listing for 1974. Was nicely surprised at how many early ones are still 'alive'.
Don't know why, but for some reason it's a bit of an oddity, with the stitched seats, variant Appearance Group and alloy wheels, but that's the way it was delivered to the dealer.

Looks great. Is that a reflection on the glass or does it have brown interior? Zambezi with tan or brown is among my favorite combinations

Yes, it has the brown interior. Most all the other Zambezi Green ones I've seen have the tan interiors. Another bit of strangeness that seems to make this one a bit unique(I think, though don't have a thorough feel for all the official combinations).

Its a 1972 not a 76 backdated if your refering to my post, 72 never had a console and thats not a saratoga top. I did go full euro with front and rear lenses and shaved the side markers.

Sorry, I was referring to mine and there were photos that came with it - or at least I was intending too - and then I goofed. My error.

It's been a while since I have been in this thread. Here is a somewhat recent interior project.

I love that interior. What is that fabric? I can't tell from the pics. Is it the exact same on the dash face and the doors/seats?

I found the upholstery fabric at a fabric store. I found a small leftover bolt of this pattern - just barely enough to do the interior - I got lucky there.

It is the same for the seats, doors and dash. It took a lot of time and frustration to do the seats, but at least I can say it looks pretty good for doing it myself and it only cost me about $50 to do it.

Here is a close up pic of the checkerboard pattern.
