Well I *still* have not gotten back out on the track, but I have been gently 'testing' the car around the canyons here, and it's running great. The only major task left to be track-ready is installing the new fire system, which I already bought but is still in the box.

I don't talk about my car at school, but the 'secret' of my 914 has slowly been getting out...
A fellow undergrad reached out to take some photos of my car. All credit goes to @kate_chrystal_photography, they did a great job! I don't use Instagram but I think with this link you should be able to find them. Here are a few so you can get the gist of it. https://www.instagram.com/kate_chrystal_pho...p;utm_source=qr |

After looking at several disassembled and rusty 914's, a friend alerted me to this 74 1.8 in Tennessee. Body looked straight and could tell the "hell hole" damage was minimal. A good, original solid car even though it's not yet a runner.

Let’s see your babies, 914’s only please! We really don’t care what kind of POS water-cooled you drive. Unless it’s a 914 V-8 conversion of course! Sorry our pic is a bit crappy. Mark & Kim Henry, Port Hope, Ontario, Canada This is my 1973 1.7 L that had the 916 front and rear fiberglass bumpers. This car is extremely rust and will just be used as a parts car. |
