I've owned my 914 since I was in high school (17 years and counting), it's been in my family since 1986, it was sold in SoCal originally, and it has been garaged in California for either all of its life or something close to it.
Even so, I have learned that a rattling rear window can do SERIOUS damage to a 914's floorpans, and that those cowl seals REALLY matter, and that factory rust proofing just wasn't intended to be on the job for 35+ years. All of these lessons are being learned the hard way. Please benefit from them! Pics are here: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...80724&st=40 Best wishes to your 914, and Godspeed to you. pete |
