one of my output flanges has a stripped thread in one of the four bolt holes.

want to take good flange off spare tranny and install on tranny in car.

are there special procedures for doing this? what is the torque for the big center bolt?

thanks,
dr

Nothing special - take the center bolt out. Pull off old flange, put on new flange. Reinstall bolt. Lotta torque values here: bird board.. Says 25-29 ft/lbs.

Take a good look at the seal. My experience (1 time only) was new output shaft with old seal = leak. If it looks worn or hard I'd replace them both.
