Swap them around to be sure that they're on the correct side. They look quite similar and it's easy to mix them up. Mine fit great but you could surf down the waves on them.

It's not the case of sheetmetal sticking way up in the air (as it would be if it was on the wrong side or end). If I lay it up on the fender I can slip the palm of my hand through some of the body gaps because the lip is so wavy.

Like I said in my last post, just have to massage them to make them fit nice.

I will say that the GT curves in the sheet metal look very good. Nothing funny going on there.

Unfortunetly I won't be able to have any fun with these until I start my 914-6 gt project in at least another year. Busy trying to get my garage plans approved with the city (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sheeplove.gif) and then get it built (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) . Just don't have the shop space to do a full tear down right now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Have to give these a shot of primer so they will keep until then.

I got mine but they're going back. One side was poorly repaired at the jack post hole and the other side was pealing like a fruit roll-up. Someone pull the "kick me sign" off my back. It seems like I'm getting the rejects. Looking past the obvious defects in mine they look to be very nice. I called AA and said I wasn't happy with the rockers. They said go ahead and send them back. At least they have the customer service side handled.

I went by today and picked up my flares in person. I was trying to wait until the rockers were ready as well so that I didn't have to make another trip but I decided not to wait any longer on the flares.

When I inquired today about the rockers, I couldn't get any info....no idea when they will be ready. In fact, when I asked today if any rockers had been shipped, they said no.

Thats funny because I've got a set here that I'm waiting for FedEx to ship back to them. I can snap a pic of them if anyone is curious. It does lend some truth to my feeling that I got the rejects.

I just got a message from George. The first batch was unacceptable even after repairs, and they are test fitting a piece from a new run tomorrow. If it fits properly, they will have the production run in three weeks.

It's good that they didn't send them all out. My set must have slipped through the QC checks. I don't mind waiting another 3 weeks for a quality set. If one of you absolutely needs a set ASAP the one I sent back might be available. The overall lines looked good. I just didn't feel like doing FG repairs along with all the wave straightening I'm going to need to do.

That's what I told George... I'd rather wait for quality parts than have crap quickly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

George says that the parts are perfected, and they will have them the second week in January.

Well finally we have production on the gt rocker panels and we will be sending them to everyone in the group buy this and next week. For those who do were not part of the buy and who would like to purchase a set, they are 210.00 and are really nice!

HEY GEORGE!!!!

Don't forget me! You shipped me one of the first seven sets, and there were a number of problems. You promised to ship me a new set when you got the reworked ones in! That was August! I have the originals boxed and ready to go back.

Got my rockers the other day. I haven't fit them to the car yet but I can say they look fantastic. Well worth the wait. As soon as the temperature gets above -10 out here I'll see how they line up.
