Some of you probably know the company I work for, CaridianBCT (used to be GambroBCT) designs and manufactures equipment for blood collection and therapeutics (especially Scott Schroeder since he works there too... hi Scott! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ). Short explanation... CaridianBCT has equipment that help people with health issues that effect their blood... it uses blood components donated by healthy individuals to replace 1 or more blood components in a sick patient, to help strengthen that sick patient prior to or following a procedure. It may also reinsert components a patient has extracted prior to a procedure, knowing those components will be damaged during the procedure (like cells damaged during chemo). CaridianBCT is also working on adult stem cell expansion equipment which is a huge deal. This walk contributes cash to a cause that's dedicated to working for cures to blood diseases. Please contribute if you'd like.
