Enrique,

Very happy to see you driving that beauty and having her home with you. Shakedown is a part of the build process and no doubt you will identify things you want to address after you get some good seat time. She will just keep getting better and better.

We have been swamped with work up here and I doubt we will be able to make it to the LA area for Air & Water.

I still need to address my emergency brake which is still giving me a hard time. It works but the handle will not "ratchet" correctly and I have to monkey with it to make it work. I also still need to address my voltmeter that is not working since I recently had my gauges redone as well as my GPS speedo which is now reading about 10 MPH high at 75 MPH. I suspect both are related to a simple wiring screw up on my part. I just need to get the time to be able to get her to Greg's so he and I can trouble shoot it. Other than that, my car is ready to roll. Neither of the above issues keep me from driving her.

Best wishes and enjoy the miles of smiles. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Michael

Wow! Long time no post. I was apparently locked out of my account, but thanks to the good folks on this site and Facebook, I'm back and BOY do I have photos.

First up, sharing a few photos from our trip down the Coast after collecting the car at Bens (Martin Mid-Engine). Summarizing here, because I have ALOT of catching up to do, I've decided to turn this thread into my sort of Blog. Reader beware, 'stream of thought' writing incoming, as well as a host of photos....

- - - -

I arrived at Bens 1-day early to collect the side-skirts and valances from a local painter. After placing them on, it was all about fine adjustments. From there, my Girlfriend flew in that evening, we picked up the car the next day, and we were off.

Heading south, we hit the coast around Lincoln City, OR - stopped for a beer flight, and decided that was enough for the day somewhere in or around Bandon, OR. Great little town and restaurants. The next morning, we were up early and out the door at dawn. I'm going to say we were on the road an hour or so and it was an excellent time of morning. Sunday. No one on the road. Driving through the mist in silence, save for the radio. This is the first time I pushed it and I distinctly remember slowly leaning on the accelerator and hearing the intake. What a feeling. This was also Caleigh first road-trip, and I can recall her slowly lifting her phone to record. No one infront of us, rooster tail from the spay behind. We would see a car maybe once every 10-15 minutes,

About 1-2 hours in, we stopped for coffee and a quick bite, I'm going to say it was Gold Beach, OR— most everyone we met commented on the car—it felt very good and all credit goes to Ben and his team. From there, a straight-shot to the state line. Home in California! Highly recommend to anyone when visiting that part of the world, check out 'Trees of Mystery', an incredible viewing location for the Giants of Northern California, about halfway between the state line and Eureka. When you make it to Eureka, go for the seafood!

Our story, for this first-full day at least, comes to an end after crossing the Golden Gate bridge into San Francisco and staying somewhere around Portola, CA. More to come. That's it for tonight! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif)
