Holy resurrection batman!
So many angles here. If you're looking to go fast, rebuilding a type 4 probably isn't worth it. However, if you're restoring a 914 to stock, it is. The question is...what do you want to do? I recently built a 2056 with heads from HAM, a new Raby cam, new crank and full balancing / machining and it cost me about 10K, doing most of the work myself. It went into my LE, which was definitely never getting a subaru (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |
