Hi All, I have my 1983 Porsche 928 for sale. It needs a tranny and a little tlc. You can email me at futuresoptions@rgv.rr.com if interested. Thanks 1983 Porsche 928 Euro Information The car I have for sale is a 1983 Porsche 928 Euro. The car no longer has the Higher horsepower Euro motor in it as the previous owner installed a 1979 non-interference motor. The car has a 3spd auto transmission installed, and has a little over 107,000 miles on the odometer. The car had been stored for 7 years prior to me purchasing it and the motor starts and runs fine. I will list below the qualities and deficiencies of the car below and allow you to decide if she is right for you. The Good: Good solid project car. Motor starts and runs Installed new universal ignition switch Installed new parts to where drivers door will open from outside Rebuilt rear cv shafts on the tranny side Installed new timing belt, cam gears and all front enging seals Installed new water pump Installed new fuel pump and fuel filter Installed new aluminium radiator Installed new transmission cooler Installed new transmission lines Installed new vacuum lines Installed all new belts Installed new hoses Installed new battery connectors A/C compressor works and blows cold Power steering pump works Have new wiper blades and Oil filter that need to be installed Gauges working last I checked seat motor is good Power window motors good The Bad: Car looks okay, but will need a paint job, has some cracking in the paint and has some rust issues around the rear spoiler, but nothing major. Has a couple small dents. A/C works but on defrost only.. will need to repair/trouble shoot the controller Interior is okay, but will need to be redone to be perfect. Dash is cracked.ABS dash toppers are availible for this model. Some vacuum lines on the motor still need changed out. Will need new tires Needs universal oil cooler Needs 2 radiator hoses (have 2 installed, but they dont fit quite right) Needs spark plugs Needs front spoiler (did not come with one) Needs tranny rebuilt or replaced (moves forward in 1st gear, but will not go to second or third, will not go into reverse.) Needs new window, sunroof and rear wiper swiches ( are in place, but gutted) Winshield is good, but has one dime size chip on drivers side Will need various electrical pieces probably, relays, switches...(Haven't gotten that far with the car to tell exactly.) Conclusion: Good solid project or parts car... I really would just like to get her out of the car port at this time... I have $5200 invested in her, Will take $1000. firm Let me know if you are interested Regards Bill |
