I'm looking for people or businesses within driving distance say 45 mins. from an East/West route from the coasts. I'm in charge of putting together a map for the West Coast Classic. It will be part of the West Coast Classic Publicity web site.

I am marking the map with a push pin and flag showing the location of induviduals and businesses will to lend road side assistance to people traveling to and from the Classic.

Send me a PM with your info and I'll add it to the map. Here's a sample.

So if you know a wrecker driver that will give us a break of have a garage, spare parts, or tools, maybe hand off water as we caravan past that would be cool.

I 70, I 80, I 40, I 10, Did I miss any?

If anyone is traveling across country let us know your route and we'll see if we can find you a couple of look outs along the way.

Can someone nail this thing?

Anyone traveling I-44 to I-40, I'm in Tulsa. I'd love to jump in and travel with the caravan for a few hundred miles or so. We have a shop with most of the necessary tools and spare parts for repairs and such.

Anyone pick up on that?

I 40 runs from what looks like Willmington VT north to Raleigh NC across through Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis, past Littlerock, Oklahoma City, (I've jumped on here once and traveled this route with a 1957 356 sunroof in tow) Amarillo TX, Albuquerque NM, Then to flag Staff AZ, On into the Great State of California!
COOOOL Interstate! Through every climate imaginable! Man I love road trips!

Rich - check you map and our locations. I am in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Vsg914 in in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Different people, different states.

Carl is a former 914 racer and currently is a Porsche repair shop owner. (He has been mentioned on several threads in the past) Renegade Hybrids is also located in Las Vegas. The owner is a member here. I don't want to speak out of turn and volunteer him, but I am sure he would help if asked.

If it works out that there is a concensus, I can envision a caravan of 914's growing as it goes across the country. Kinda like 'Smokey and the Bandit'. It would be worth a couple extra hundred miles to hook up and tag along.

I'm not a business, but I have a truck and trailer and a lift in the garage. I'd be happy to assist if necessary and I'm located about 5 miles north of Interstate 70 in Denver (just before you start heading uphill - LOL). But I'm flying out of town Friday morning. So if I help anyone, they'll have to be on there way by Thursday night or so.

Great offer. most of the swarm traveling I 70 should be passing through around wednesday or thursday. If we have a dead one maybe you could lend a free tow to a local shop instaed of your place. The event starts on Friday so that should work. PM me your address and phone number I'll put you on the map.

Ya, I've been to Renegade Hybrids shop in Vegas. Nice bunch of guys. We need them at the event and we need them to sponsor if they can. I plan to stay over night in LV There not too far from the strip.

Damn this is going to be coool!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif) I know what you mean about picking up the swarm as we move across country! Kinda gives ya the bumps. I love road trips. Did I mention that? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif) Either that or I had way too much coffee!

I'm near I-10 in Beaumont, Texas. Not a biz. but Bro-in-law drives a wrecker and I got tools, etc. If any one rolls through Tejas on the 10 I'd be glad to join for a beer or dinner conversation, etc.
