I'll leave here in it Friday morning (for JP's). I have it at HPH right now going over it and fixing the dash. I have a fellow club guy that will follow me in case anything happens along the way. We can ride back together in his car.

I think the CAT may be clogged. The plan is to put it on the scope tomorrow.

For some unknown reason, 93 Eurovans eat Cats...
There are several forums that Korjo should read through on that issue.

Try resstting all the codes if you can get the correct tool....could be in limp home mode...mine was for a year....it runs much better now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

What time you want to leave Portland (assuming Sunday), 230p or 900p ? I'll buy a ticket when you know.

You could stay the night in Portland, we'll drop you off at PDX on Sunday (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) .

r_towle brought up a good point about limp mode

Has the transmission been scanned for codes? If the tranny is in limp mode it will start off in third, that could explain the poor acceleration. The VAG-COM should do trannies...Rich H?

There is no light for tranny dtc's but usually the shift position indicator on the dash will let you know if your in limp mode by reversing the background/prnd321 display. Hard to describe if you don't know what it should look like.

if the transmission is diagnostics-capable, VAG-COM can scan it. it can scan the whole vehicle. i just don't know what a '93 is capable of. but if the computer can talk, VAG-COM will see it. and if it's just a matter of stored DTC's from its various adventures - reset them.

we've just posted a new version of the software that does some new stuff for new cars, but i don't think there any improvements to be had for the old stuff ...

Brad

If it's not too much trouble and you're hauling parts can you stick in 4 of the widened steel wheels you mentioned for me? I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks

Dave

Dave it looks like I have a person following me. We are locked in.

I will ask for gas money (or send a common gas card for Oregon.)

RichH.. no stickers. I did scan it and it will go with me (it is currently in the van).

You'll need to overnight them so I get them Friday morning at the shop.
