Now that looks more like what my steering wheel looks like on the track. The guy in front of him had terrible lines and massive power. It must be nice to let your right foot do all your driving.

ran across this as a linked vid - this is probably my favorite 935 vid thus far I have seen! I little ways in a late model RSR blows by from seemingly out of nowhere, he stays with it and even comes up hard on it a couple times, etc and then at the end the superior HP of the 935 takes back over.
Nonetheless, says a lot to me about how great the current RSR stuff is - based on my assumption that RSR is restrictor plated and everything else of course. If there are no restrictor plates then it isn't as interesting. I dig the 935 from the shear gaudiness of it all, and just how cool they were as a kid, but really like how subtle the RSR is by comparison and how amazing those cars are. Oh, and watching this just such amazingly superior cars to others on the track is awesome and how the drivers navigate thru traffic, what really bumps the cool factor (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj4-clpN8N4...feature=related as for similar engine in a 914 didn't Kremer have some big arse twin turbo engine with big fenders like a 935 in a 914? I know the look of the car for certain, but IIRC it was a big 935-style turbo monster of an engine. I'll look for a link, brb http://209.128.70.155/toys.html |

I'll look for a link, brb http://209.128.70.155/toys.html The Kremer car -9146GT raced in European ralleys, purchased stateside by Harold Von K and converted into that orange turbo monster seen here. It was a class act turbo engine buildup. but not a 935 donor engine. It was sold off and restored back to its original Kremer 9146GT livery in the late 90's. I know of a 935 powered 9146 @ Formulamotorsports, NY and another one here in SoCal (mine). These sound wicked going thru tunnels ! Marty |

Watch this vintage footage. Its hilarious. 944 T moving pretty fast gets passed by a 935 and a mystery 914-6 turbo moving just as fast as the 935. Anyone know whos car that 914 was?

That was Nick Ventura driving the Formula Motorsports 914-6 that Marty mentioned.
I watched him race that thing at lime rock numerous times, even saw him crash hard into the armco on the front straight after losing control off the diving turn - hit the barrier at well over 100mph. I had heard it contained what was essentially a 956 engine. Not the fastest Porsche at the track but pretty darn close! |
