Anyone out there have pictures of Roger Sheridan's car without the body work on it? Preferably closeups of the chassis. Any one have the color print articles of the European car articles on that car?

December 93
May 94
November 94
January 96

There was another issue but it was later, maybe 97-99. Had a two or threee page article. Can't remember what issue, I lost it sometime in the past.

I will buy the magzines if you will part with them otherwise how bout scanning them in and posting them on the net or emailing them to me?

Jason Samson has or had some great detailed pictures that he took a few years ago when he, Brad and myself stopped by his old place to visit.

A work of engineering art (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

I'd ask permission first to post them publicly (we did ask to take the pictures)

Hey Brett,

These are all I have of the Sheridan car
(I have a couple of outside shots of the car with the body work on, but these don't show much detail)

I got these off the internet somewhere

Some people collect porn pics on their computer
I collect stuff like this
(I consider it 914 porn (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif))

I thought I had one which shows different ducting of the hoses that run to the engine compartment
Instead of running from a NACA duct in the pass side window (like the pics above show), they came from a NACA duct in the roof, just in front of the rear window.

If I can find it, I'll post it later...

cheers,

Jeroen

Um.. Jeroen.. Jason and I shot all of those pics..

I dont think that Roger would be very happy with us posting them. He spent 15k on the frame work alone.

Brett,

What EXACTLY are you looking for ??

Oh.. one of them we didnt shoot. The interior shot from the race track.

I know we shot these because I told Roger to lose the RX7 cooler he was running and go with twin 993 oil coolers... which he did.

Not to be a wise ass, but is there really a 914 in those pictures?
Is it entirely a tubeframe car?

Tube frame. The only thing 914 is the windshield post. Just like my car. SCCA required it in the past when we where both building the cars.

Roger is running a 3.2 right now with coil on twin plug Motec, based on a 993 3.6 liter engine. STOCK 3.6 heads with Aase springs.. NO port work.. destroked crank. Short stroke large bore combo, GT3RS oil pump, with a custom ground GE100 based cams. 8600 RPM 365hp.

I know the combo because we have a twin too it that is based on a 3.2 case (8200 RPM 330hp)

Roger and I are pretty tight.

Quick funny story..

I'm standing at a vendors booth at the German Autofest last summer and notice in car video playing on a monitor in this guy's booth. I ask him if it is him driving.. he says yes.. I notice it is Laguna... he says yes... I notice it is a POC event.. he says yes.. We chat about his products. He rewinds the tape for me. I watch him exit pit lane and line up on grid.. "cool I think" I'll at least watch the start. Start goes well everything looks good. His car is pulling nicely. Several laps go by and I notice ONE car go flying past him on the DOWNHILL section going into turn 2. I laugh OUT LOUD. I say to the guy.. HUH.. it appears ROGER SHERIDAN in his 914 is faster than you in your 2001 CARRERA CUP FACTORY RACE CAR... LOL LOL (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) He was a little embarrased/pissed with me.."yeah.. well blah blah.. I suck... cant drive..." blah blah..

Score one for the 914.
