Top pic- It appears they are used in the brake lines.
Middle pic- left side, points for the dizzy-condenser for the dizzy
Bottom- Your fuels rails for the fuel injection

Gaskets are for your heads, they go in between the head and the valve cover.

Thanks Carrie. Appreciate it. When is your 914 project going to get started again?

Probably low preasure fuel with a push on connector like that.

In your battery tray thread, I saw the mount point for the engine bar. It shows the proper mount in it already.

Someone may have thought they needed them even with the mounts already there.

Just for clarification, Clay, the pic's, other than one was of someone else's car. James posted the first pic only.

The tach is a 930 (911 turbo) tach that was converted to a fuel gauge instead of a boost gauge. I do not know if the tach is set up for 4 or 6 cylinder, the owner had a bunch of projects going on...

The brake caliper piece, if aluminium, goes to a 911 S caliper. Very expensive and great to have. Your car will not have these on there since you have four lug wheels but I believe people are eluding to hoping you find the calipers in there somewhere.

Correct, and you won't find the calipers there, James. I have them and I need to get that part back so I can sell the calipers for the widow of the car owner. PM sent. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

No. Those are the support brackets for the rear sway bar. Your car doesn't have a rear sway bar, so if you ever going to install one, you'd need those plates.

However, they're readily available new for cheap without the surface rust.

The door panels

Yeah - 74-76 style guages without the silver center buttns, but then his is a 7/73 build date, so they might have started the switch-over early - too bad! The left combo gauge seems non-std. because it's side-by-side - not over-n-under & lacks fuel guage & idiot lights.

Keep the front fender intact & have a good body shop bang'er out - if you're not sure about it &/or lack the tools (body wedges, etc.). I've got far more serios F&R damage on my 73-2L (you've seen my researching history post - pix coming whenever....?), and I'm seriously considering straightening the F&R ends up to maintain a more rigid uni-body.

At $500, I'd have used her for a donor, but you got the long term project to do now!

Good Luck!

Is this the fuel pump?

What is this?

Yeah & have it mounted in the front trunk like the 75-76's so you won't have the gas-bubbles in the fuel lines problem as much! It's no fun to sit for an hour waiting for it to cool down so she'll start, & it gets HOT in OKC too!

I did that ONCE in Blythe, CA (nee DESERT!), then had my mechanic refit my `73-2L up front - never a problem after thet ...except the 26 years in the garage since being hit, but that's a different story!

James: If you are going to move the fuel pump up front, there's three places most people put them. "Stock" is under the gas tank (by the swaybar). You need to cut an access panel to get to it if you put it there. The second is on the front cross member, by the steering rack. You'd need to put that skid plate back on if you do that. The third is in the front trunk, in the spare tire well (but that screws up your spare).

Personally, I'd run it as is, and not move it until (and if) you have trouble. Mine is in the back and I've never had trouble, and it gets a bit hot down here as well.

I would certainly try to repair the fender (we would be able to do it) to preserve the unibody integrity and the originality of the car. Whenever a fender is cut off of a 914 they are just never the same again, as it is hard to execute a perfect undetectable job.

Well I have a whole front left fender that came with the car. It's in good condition. Their is a pic of it in the thread. I think page 2.

Yes, but... The existing has to be cut off not unbolted. The used replacement has to be fit and butt welded. What you have there could be repaired. As George has hinted, your body is your frame. When you cut out sections and weld in new, you do weaken your body/frame.

Ah I c n understand now. How could it be fixed?

Like this! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) It's not a 914 but you get the idea (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) Just take your time.

Hm...I c. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

A hammer and dolly and lot's of patience. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) When done a little body filler to smooth it out. I have done it both ways, I would much rather repair then weld on a replacement. The replacements just never look right.

No, the big center gauge. FYI it is worth a lot of money - that is why people are asking you for dibs if you decide not to use it.
