With a hat like this, you could easily a AEM style ricer tube! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
It would make for some nice, low profile systems. (IMG:http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/spe-9849_w.jpg) |

Eric, It's just getting warm enough here in MN to go back into the garage so I haven't done any work yet. But yes, the panel is fine and will work for making the access hole through the firewall. Thanks Paul |

Old 70's LT1 Corvette's had a hish rise intake manifold. They then had to use a drop base air cleaner. This gets the air cleaner top litterally at the topline of the carb. quite impressive really..
I'd expect it to work for a 914, just as it works for my dad's Vette. |

(IMG:http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/spe-9849_w.jpg) I had a plentum like that on my first V-6 914.of course it was mated to a Paxton blower. I later modified it thru an intercooler with a different setup. here is a pict of my first set up. I coud see running this plentum to an air box then to a side scoop. |
