With a hat like this, you could easily a AEM style ricer tube! blink.gif

Yup, it fits under the stock lids with no clearance problems at all biggrin.gif

It's just getting warm enough here in MN to go back into the garage so I haven't done any work yet. But yes, the panel is fine and will work for making the access hole through the firewall.

'73-914kid
Old 70's LT1 Corvette's had a hish rise intake manifold. They then had to use a drop base air cleaner. This gets the air cleaner top litterally at the topline of the carb. quite impressive really..
I'd expect it to work for a 914, just as it works for my dad's Vette.

I had a plentum like that on my first V-6 914.of course it was mated to a Paxton blower. I later modified it thru an intercooler with a different setup. here is a pict of my first set up. I coud see running this plentum to an air box then to a side scoop.
